FC Prishtina and SC Gjilani Share the Points at “Fadil Vokrri”

The derby of Round 30 in the AlbiMall Kosovo Superleague between Prishtina and Gjilani ended without a winner, finishing 1–1 at the “Fadil Vokrri” Stadium.

The match started at a high tempo, with chances for both sides, but the first half ended goalless despite several serious attempts from each team.

The second half brought plenty of drama. In the 51st minute, Senad Jarović scored for Gjilani after an assist from captain Armend Thaqi, but the goal was disallowed following a VAR review due to a foul in the build-up, confirmed by referee Genc Nuza.

However, only a few minutes later, Gjilani managed to take the lead. In the 60th minute, Jarović converted from the penalty spot to make it 1–0 after a penalty was awarded following another VAR consultation. In the same incident, defender Christopher Mamengi was sent off after receiving red card, leaving Prishtina with ten men.

Prishtina’s response was immediate. Just two minutes later, Arjol Bllaca equalized at 1–1 with a powerful strike from inside the box.

Until the final whistle, both teams created further scoring opportunities, including shots that hit the post, but the result remained unchanged.

After this match, Prishtina sits in fifth place with 45 points, one more than Gjilani, who occupy sixth position.
