FC Vushtrria Handed Two-Match Fan Ban and €2,500 Fine, Drita Also Penalized

 

FC Vushtrria have been punished with a two-match stadium ban and a €2,500 fine following disciplinary incidents during their match against Drita. The visiting club has also been fined €1,000.

The Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) Disciplinary Commission has announced a series of sanctions following the incidents recorded during the Vushtrria–Drita fixture.

The disciplinary case against Vushtrria relates to several incidents before, during and after the match.

According to the official report, tensions began in the 13th minute when Drita supporters entered the stand behind the goal. Verbal abuse and insults were exchanged between the two groups of supporters, with attempts made to engage in a physical confrontation and objects being thrown.

Police intervened and forcibly removed Vushtrria supporters from the area. The incident resulted in the match being suspended for approximately 13 minutes.

Further trouble occurred in the 81st minute after a Vushtrria player was sent off following a second yellow card. Home supporters reportedly threw water-filled plastic bottles towards the referee.

The situation escalated after the final whistle, when some Vushtrria supporters entered the pitch and caused significant damage to the synthetic playing surface and surrounding fencing at the FFK National Camp in Hajvalia. Supporters also clashed with police, leading to the arrest of three individuals.

Based on reports from match officials, photographic evidence and television footage, the FFK Disciplinary Commission decided to impose the following sanctions:

• Two consecutive matches without spectators.
• A €2,500 fine, payable within 15 days after the decision becomes final.
• The club has also been ordered to cover the cost of the damage caused.

Drita FC

Drita were also sanctioned over incidents involving their travelling supporters.

According to the disciplinary report, tensions arose when Drita fans entered the stand, with mutual insults exchanged between the two sets of supporters and an attempted confrontation that was stopped by police intervention.

In the 14th and 49th minutes, visiting supporters allegedly threw pyrotechnic devices onto the pitch. The incidents resulted in damage to several areas of the playing surface.

After reviewing the reports of the match officials, photographic evidence and television footage, the FFK Disciplinary Commission imposed a €1,000 fine on Drita.

The fine must also be paid within 15 days from the date the decision becomes final.

The disciplinary measures come after a match that was marked by significant incidents both in the stands and after the final whistle.
